Habanos unveils 2009 limited edition collection – 27/07/09
CUBA. Leading cigar supplier Habanos is launching its 2009 Edicion Limitada (Limited Edition) in the second semester of the year in markets worldwide.
The Edicion Limitada, released annually, is made up of a selection of leading Habanos brands and includes sizes which are not part of the brands’ usual range. Another distinct element is the careful selection of two-year aged selected tobacco leaves (wrapper, binder and filler).
Habanos has selected the Romeo y Julieta, Bolivar and H. Upmann brands for the 2009 Edicion Limitada:
• Romeo y Julieta Duke (Girth 54 x 140mm in length) – This new size is available in labelled boxes with 10 sticks in one layer.
• Bolivar Petit Belicosos (Girth 52 x 125mm in length) – Presented in the Edicion Limitada for the first time, this is one of the most full-bodied Habanos brands and one sought-after by experienced smokers. Cigars are packaged in labelled boxes comprising 25 units.
• H. Upmann Magnum 48 (Girth 48 x 110 mm in length) – A light to medium-flavoured smoke, this cigar has a smooth flavour and delicate aroma. Cigars are presented in SLB boxes containing 25 units.
Since 2000, Habanos has been releasing the Edicion Limitada for its leading brands such as Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas, Hoyo de Monterrey and H. Upmann.
Due to its special features, the Limited Edition is manufactured in small quantities, making it “a particularly appreciated pleasure for the most demanding smokers”, Habanos said.
