Cuban Products Highly Prized at Expocruz, Bolivia
La Paz, Sep 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuban products continue to be highly prized at the International Fair of Santa Cruz, Expocruz, which begins its fourth day of exhibits today at the fairgrounds in the aforementioned city.
Among the products sourcing from the Caribbean island, the most popular are tobacco, cigarettes, craftwork, rum, and Vidatox, a natural product to cure certain types of cancer, made from an aqueous solution extracted from scorpion venom, also known as escozul.
The Cuban booth was packed for hours as an expert cigar roller created custom made cigars for customers visiting the booth.
Varadero Rum, especially as a cocktail ingredient, is another popular item among visitors to the fair, who come in search of any kind of "mojito," one of the best known Cuban cocktails in the country's altiplano.
The Cuban booth opened on Saturday, September 21, attended by Expocruz commercial manager Victor Hugo Suarez, and General Secretary of Cuba's Chamber of Commerce, Omar Fernandez.
Cuba is represented by 13 companies or institutions, showcasing the country's development in the fields of scientific research and services, as well as traditional products.
Expocruz will remain open until Sunday, September 29, with more than 1,200 companies from 22 countries of America, Europe, and Asia attending, according to the exhibit's organizers.
