Habanos introduces the Trinidad Robustos T cigar
CUBA. Habanos s.a. is set to present the Trinidad Robustos T, a new size for the exclusive Trinidad cigar brand. The sought-after Robusto size will be available in the coming weeks in the main world markets.
The factory size of Robustos T is a “del Valle”, which is equivalent in dimensions to the Robusto size (girth 50 x 124mm long), with the classic “pigtail” of the Trinidad brand added.
"It is a trendy size which has been receiving a warm welcome among smokers by granting an intense flavour in a short smoke," the cigar company said.
The Trinidad brand shares its name with the city of La Santнsima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity) on Cuba’s south coast, listed by UNESCO as a historical monument because of its colonial architecture.
The Trinidad brand dates back to 1969. Like Cohiba, for many years it was made only for gifts to foreign diplomats. Not until 1998 was it released for general sale, and then only in small quantities.
All Trinidad sizes are totally hand-made, long filler and they are manufactured with the best leaves from the best crops of the Vuelta Abajo region.
The cigar is described as having a medium flavoured taste and a refined aroma.
Trinidad Robustos T, initially launched in boxes of 24 and 12 units, will be available in selected points of sale worldwide in the coming weeks. It will be joined by an aluminium tube box of six units soon.
